No exam, 6 midterms. He provides you with past tests and reuses some questions but new questions often test specific details in the chapter content.

As someone who took this in 2018, it’s NOT what it used to be. Don’t believe the rumours: this isn’t a free 12. Bi-weekly tests that are each 20% get overwhelming as heck; do well on the first couple before he starts to make it unnecessarily hard and very difficult to understand in terms of his bad question diction. Take time to read the textbook alongside past tests. Not a bird, don’t take as an elective unless you absolutely have to. Seriously. If you’re in chembio, still worth taking just to get it over with, because the same professor teaches biochem 2BB3 (the other biochem course you have to take if you take the 2 second year courses) so you’ll have to do it either way. Gives you 2 electives in second semester.

Amazing course!! Dr. Yang is the best at teaching material and his tests are extremely fair in that as long as you do the practice tests you’ll be able to do amazing in the course as well.
