Amazing professor. Dr. Elliot responds to student emails unbelievably quickly and they are quality responses too. She is always open to questions and goes out of her way to help. I am so grateful that I got to be her student! Even though I found some of the course content a bit difficult, I had motivation to work hard because the professor was so encouraging and just so, so great!!!

The best course I’ve ever taken. You don’t need to memorize concepts, its all about application and problem solving. This course will make you love bacteria and will be amazingly helpful for thesis work in many labs.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This course ties in really nicely with MOLBIOL 3V03 Techniques in Molecular Genetics. The concepts overlap from beginning to end. It helps to understand 3O03 topics when you’re exploring those topics in the lab twice a week. You really end up with a better understanding of bacteriology. But more importantly, it makes the learning experience more interesting. Likewise, MOLBIOL 3V03 is easier with MOLBIOL 3O03.

Overall, the course was very interesting and Dr. Elliot made it very engaging. The midterms were a little difficult but with practice you can do well in the course. The tutorials were fun as well and had an amazing time.
