Rating: 5 out of 5.

Slides are not too helpful; lectures are long and go off on different tangents, though Zen is funny. It is not a hardcore computer science course; they do teach mysql and python, but there are tons of resources to help you out when doing your assignments and best of all, you can work with other students, so long as you give due credit. These assignments (in our semester) were due at the end of the semester, so you can take your time. Furthermore, you can ask the TA’s or the prof for clarification and usually it helps. Quizzes are sometimes challenging as they are, for the most part, not coding questions and sometimes are not as explicitly stated in the slides/lectures. Nevertheless, because it makes up a small percent of the grades, you don’t need to fret too much about them, just keep the assignment grades up and you can easily 12 it. You don’t have to attend the lectures (i didn’t for the most part), whose time can be used to do your assignment or other work.

Overall, I really enjoyed this course as it was helpful for solidifying data science know hows (using Microsoft Access for example). I also believe it can be an easy 12 for most people, with some effort (minimal effort if you know coding, especially MySQL and Python).
