Dr. Armstrong (Winter, 2022)
By far one of the greatest courses I ever took at McMaster. The professor, Dr. Armstrong, was especially bright and her passion for a field that is often overlooked really educated me.
Advice to do well in the course overall:
1) Attend the lectures; it’s very important to keep up with the material as it can get complex.
2) Ask questions after class, it will really help clarify concepts
Advice for midterms and the final exam:
1) Do the practice problems in the lecture slides, however, try doing them with excel as it can help you understand where in the process you went wrong
2) Work with a friend; if you are introverted, pray that an extrovert adopts you
Non-academic:
The course can be a great gateway into the pharmaceutical business because it teaches you the fundamental mindset of a chemical biologist or a nuclear scientist.
